Plot
In the border area of Mexico, Arizona and New Mexico, where the Sonara desert blends into the Chihuahua desert a new way of life emerges. The Town in Sonora – a cultural and economic centre which arose from the dust in only a few short years – has become the vibrant hub of this new lifestyle and a symbol of a new community.
A heat wave lasting several months pushes all life to the edge of tolerability. The state of emergency is declared in the area.
Human organs are found in a disused lodge in the Sierras. The remains point to a serial killer who preserves his victims – young women between the age of 25 and 35 – using the ancient Egyptian art of embalming.
An interdisciplinary team consisting of the Sheriff’s department, FBI, scientists and journalists headed by an experienced profiler start the hunt for the killer. The protagonists now embark on a psychedelic journey into the abyss of the human soul and the hidden realms of their past.
In the end the search turns into a race between life and death in which the hunters become the pray.
